Obesity In Children Is Increasing

Since the 1970s, the percentage of children two to five years old who are obese has doubled. Alarming is a mild way of saying this is traumatic. Toddlers shouldn't be overweight, and by the end of the decade, over half of American toddlers will be obese, according to an article I read today. What could be the cause? Easy access to fast food and insufficient exercise. However, this disease affects every nation in the world and is not only an issue in America.


A child is more likely to inherit their parents' obesity if they have two obese parents.


Kids observe and pick up a lot from their parents. If the parents don't follow a healthy diet and/or exercise regularly, the child might as well. In order for our kids to grasp the value of taking care of your body, we as parents need to set excellent food and exercise examples for them.


Life has gotten considerably simpler and lazier in today's culture. Kids spend less time outside because of TV, laptops, and video games. Families don't spend a lot of time eating dinner together, therefore it's best if food is served quickly. Family dinners prepared at home are rapidly vanishing.


The numerous health issues an obese child may face at an early age is another alarming reality. Type 2 diabetes, conditions of the liver, heart, and blood pressure, among many others, are typically diagnosed in adults rather than children. However, there are more instances of these medical issues affecting children.


Parents need to keep an eye on what their kids consume while they are away from home as well as at home. Early on, we need to teach healthy eating habits, and we need to lead by example. Avoid purchasing foods that are heavy in sugar, fat, or artificial preservatives. Making your own cookies is preferable to purchasing them from the shop.


Don't strive to prepare dinner every night, but do take your time. occasionally place an order for delivery. Future events are modifiable. Let's support the long and healthy lives of our kids.
